Started in 1907, Hoover Company is today a household name synonymous with premium and innovative vacuum cleaners. Hoover’s entry into the vacuum cleaner market is closely associated with the origin of the vacuum cleaner itself. James Murray Spangler, an American inventor, invented a portable electric vacuum cleaner in 1907. Realising its potential, in 1908, Hoover bought Spangler’s patent. Over the years, Hoover improved and marketed the vacuum cleaner and made it a widely used cleaning appliance today in New Zealand homes.
What started with just one vacuum cleaner is today home to hundreds of innovative cleaning appliances, ranging from upright, stick and hand vacuums, carpet cleaners, spot cleaners, hard floor cleaners and more. No matter the model or vacuum type you choose, they all feature exceptional suction power, advanced HEPA filters, ergonomic design and versatile attachments. They effectively tackle everyday spills and serve as a reliable partner for deep cleaning routines and whole-home refreshes.
